Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: August 31, 2026
This policy explains what happens to the money you pay to take part in BIZVERSE 2026 (the "Event"), organised by the Institute of Management, JK Lakshmipat University, Jaipur ("the University", "we", "us", "our").
It expands on section 4 of our Terms of Service and forms part of them. By completing a payment you accept this policy.
The short version: Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, and a confirmed registration cannot be cancelled. Changing your mind, not turning up or leaving early does not entitle you to money back. A payment that was debited but never confirmed a registration, or charged twice, is a different thing entirely — write to us and we will return it. If we cancel an event you paid for and do not run it later, we will tell registered participants how the fees for it will be dealt with.

1. What this policy covers
It covers the amounts collected through this website for the Event:
| Item | Fee | Basis | Refundable? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Competition entry | ₹299 | per event entered | No |
| Accommodation and food | ₹799 | per person, optional | No |
Fees are in Indian Rupees and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless we say otherwise at the point of payment. The total payable is shown to you before you are taken to the payment page. Payments are collected by Cashfree Payments; your card, UPI or net banking details are entered on Cashfree's systems and are never seen or stored by us.
Travel, local transport, and anything you buy from a third party during the Event are not collected by us and are outside this policy.
2. Fees are non-refundable
All fees are non-refundable. Once your registration is confirmed, the amount you have paid will not be returned to you. Please be certain before you pay.
Places are limited. Confirming your entry holds a place for you and withholds it from someone else, and our catering, accommodation and logistics are committed in advance on the strength of confirmed registrations. That commitment is why the fee cannot be returned once it is made.
No refund, credit or part-refund is given, including where you:
- change your mind, or withdraw for any reason;
- do not attend, arrive late, or leave early;
- attend only some of the events you registered for;
- are unable to travel, or are prevented from attending by examinations, college commitments, illness or any other personal circumstance;
- do not use the accommodation or meals you paid for;
- are dissatisfied with a judging result or your placing in a competition; or
- are disqualified, refused entry or removed from campus under section 13 of the Terms of Service.
Registering for an event you are not eligible for does not create a right to a refund. Please read the eligibility rules before you pay.
3. No cancellation of registrations
We do not operate a cancellation process. A registration, once confirmed, cannot be cancelled by you, and no amount paid for it is returned.
There is no cancellation window, no sliding scale and no partial refund. This is the case whether you decide months before the Event or on the morning of it. The same applies to the accommodation and food charge, which cannot be cancelled separately from the registration it was paid alongside.
You are of course free to simply not attend. Please let us know at lokanathmishra@jklu.edu.in if you will not be coming, quoting your registration ID, so we can plan catering and seating — but telling us is a courtesy, not a cancellation, and it does not change the position on fees.
4. Transfers and substitutions
A registration is personal to the registered participant and cannot be transferred:
- to another person;
- to a different competition than the one you paid for;
- to a future edition of BIZVERSE; or
- into credit against anything else we run.
Where a team registration is made and a member drops out, the team may continue with its remaining members under the competition rules. The fee paid for the departing member is not refunded and is not reassigned.
5. Failed and duplicate payments
This is not a refund, and section 2 does not apply to it. If money leaves your account but the registration it was meant to pay for was never confirmed, that money was never ours to keep.
Write to us if:
- your account was debited but no registration ID was issued to you;
- you were charged more than once for the same registration; or
- the amount debited is more than the total shown to you before payment.
We will trace the payment with our gateway and either confirm the registration it was meant to pay for, or return the amount that should not have been taken. Returned amounts go back to the original payment method — we cannot send them to a different card, account or UPI ID.
Where we confirm an error, the amount is released within 14 working days. The time your bank or card issuer then takes to post the credit to your statement is outside our control, and is commonly a further 5 to 7 working days.
Many failed payments settle themselves: a gateway timeout often reverses automatically within 5 to 7 working days without anyone doing anything. Please check your statement before writing to us.
6. If we cancel or postpone
Postponement
If we move the Event to new dates, your registration carries over to the new dates at no extra cost. A postponement is not a cancellation and does not trigger a refund.
Cancellation
If we cancel the Event outright, or cancel a competition you registered and paid for, and do not run it on a later date, we will contact registered participants directly and tell them how the fees paid for it will be dealt with.
Changes short of cancellation
A change of venue, format, schedule, judge, speaker, prize or the running order of events is not a cancellation. We may make such changes, as set out in section 12 of the Terms of Service, and they do not entitle you to a refund.
7. How to raise a payment issue
Email lokanathmishra@jklu.edu.in with the subject line "BIZVERSE 2026 — payment issue" and include:
- your full name, and the email address and phone number used at registration;
- your registration ID, if one was issued;
- the date, time and amount of the payment;
- the transaction or order reference from Cashfree, or the UPI reference number; and
- a screenshot or statement entry showing the debit.
Raise it within 30 days of the payment. We can still look at older ones, but gateway and bank records get harder to trace.
We acknowledge payment issues within 7 working days and aim to resolve them within 30 days. If we cannot resolve one, section 18 of the Terms of Service applies: Indian law, and the courts at Jaipur, Rajasthan.
8. Chargebacks
If you believe you have been charged in error, please come to us first — it is faster than a chargeback and we can usually settle it in one exchange of emails. Raising a chargeback for a registration that was in fact confirmed and delivered may result in your registration being cancelled without refund, and your entry being withdrawn from the Event.
